Week 10 marked the end of an incredible journey through Miami Ad School's AI Creative Bootcamp, and what a way to wrap things up! Our final assignment challenged us to put everything we'd learned into practice by presenting comprehensive Cadillac EV campaigns to the class. It was fascinating to see how each student approached the same brief using different AI tools and workflows, some leveraging ChatGPT and MidJourney, others diving deep with Claude and Perplexity, and many creating unique combinations that showcased the versatility of AI-powered creative processes.

Before diving into my final project, I have to give massive credit to our instructor, Jose Benitez, who made this entire experience possible. Jose showed up every single day with infectious enthusiasm and genuine excitement for whatever AI breakthrough or creative technique he was about to share. Watching him navigate the daily evolution of AI tools while crafting curriculum that stayed relevant was nothing short of impressive. Finding guest speakers, preparing deeply knowledgeable content on subjects that literally change overnight, and maintaining that level of energy and insight throughout the program? That's no easy feat, and Jose absolutely nailed it.

For our Final Presentation
We were tasked with developing a comprehensive campaign for Cadillac's luxury electric vehicle launch, specifically targeting luxury sports car consumers who remain skeptical of EVs. What started as a simple brief evolved into a deep dive into cultural tensions, market positioning, and the art of using AI tools to create compelling campaign strategies.

My Campaign: "Heritage, Electrified"
After extensive research and AI-powered insights, I developed three strategic campaign concepts for Cadillac, ultimately presenting "Heritage, Electrified" as the lead concept. The core message: "The same bold vision. A new electric soul."
The challenge was clear: How do you convince luxury car enthusiasts who view electric vehicles as soulless technology to embrace Cadillac's electric future? The answer lay in positioning electric power not as a departure from Cadillac's legacy, but as its natural evolution.
The Three Campaign Concepts
Concept #1 Heritage, Electrified
Bridging 120 years of American luxury with electric innovation, positioning Cadillac's EVs as an evolution rather than revolution of its legacy.
Concept #2. The Cadillac Promise
Directly addressing the #1 luxury EV concern (residual value uncertainty) through guarantees, service excellence, and peace of mind.
Concept #3. Cadillac Atelier
An ultra-exclusive, invitation-only program limited to 500 units annually, emphasizing bespoke customization and artisanal craftsmanship.
This album is a collection of all the images generated using MidJourney for each campaign concept, including 3-4 ads each and mood boards.
My AI-Powered Process: A Behind-the-Scenes Look
What made this project particularly exciting was the sophisticated AI workflow I developed. Here's exactly how I approached it:
Step 1-2: Market Intelligence with Claude
I started by feeding the brief to Claude and asking for deeper market intelligence on luxury consumer skepticism patterns.
Prompt: "Cadillac wants to launch an electric vehicle targeted at luxury sport car consumers who are skeptical of EVs. Please identify the main skepticism patterns among luxury consumers when it comes to electric vehicles. Focus on perceptions around performance, convenience, heritage, and status. Organize insights into key themes and provide examples or cultural signals that support each one."
Step 3: Competitive Analysis with Perplexity
Taking Claude's insights, I switched to Perplexity for competitive intelligence:
Prompt: "Provide a competitive analysis of the luxury electric vehicle (EV) market, focusing on how brands like Porsche, Tesla, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, and Audi position their EVs to appeal to luxury sports car buyers. Highlight their brand positioning, key features emphasized (performance, range, design, technology, heritage), and marketing strategies. Summarize opportunities and gaps Cadillac could leverage when launching its own luxury EV."
Step 4: Cultural Tensions Analysis (Back to Claude)
Prompt: "Identify cultural tensions that influence the adoption of luxury electric vehicles (EVs). Focus on the contradictions luxury consumers may feel between tradition and innovation, performance and sustainability, exclusivity and accessibility, or convenience and responsibility. Provide 4-5 key cultural insights and explain how these tensions create both barriers and opportunities for a brand like Cadillac to position its new luxury EV."
Step 5: Campaign Ideation with ChatGPT
I downloaded everything from Claude as a PDF and fed it to ChatGPT with all the research context, requesting 20+ campaign concepts based on the insights gathered.
Step 6: Campaign Development and Creative Direction
Back to Claude & ChatGPT for cross-channel activation ideas, narrowing to the top 3 concepts, and developing:
Mood board generation prompts
Ad creation prompts
Complete copy variations (headlines, taglines, body copy)
A 20-page presentation outline with slide-by-slide content recommendations
Step 7: Visual Creation with MidJourney
Using ChatGPT's prompts, I created sophisticated mood boards and ads in MidJourney. Here are some of the detailed prompts I used:
Heritage Mood Board Prompt: "Create a sophisticated mood board that bridges Cadillac's American luxury heritage with electric innovation. Visual elements should include: Color Palette: Deep midnight blue, warm brass/copper accents, crisp white, charcoal graphite, with electric blue highlights representing energy and innovation. Heritage Elements: Vintage Cadillac design cues (art deco grilles, tailfins, chrome details), classic American industrial photography (Detroit factories, steel mills), handcrafted luxury materials (leather, wood grain, polished metal), historical American innovation imagery..."
Heritage Advertisement Prompt: "Create a premium automotive advertisement that showcases the evolution of American luxury while introducing Cadillac's electric future. Visual Concept: Split-screen or seamless transition showing a classic 1959 Cadillac Eldorado alongside the new electric Cadillac. The classic car should be positioned in a timeless, elegant setting, while the electric vehicle is in a contemporary, forward-looking environment..."
Step 8: Presentation Design with Gamma
Finally, I used Gamma to design the presentation deck, making minor edits to images, colors, and overall aesthetic to create a client-ready presentation.
Key Insights from the Cultural Tensions Research
The research revealed four critical cultural tensions that influence luxury EV adoption:
Heritage vs. The Future - The conflict between emotional attachment to automotive tradition and the radical departure EVs represent. Cadillac's opportunity: positioning itself as successfully bridging heritage with innovation through distinctly American luxury craftsmanship.
Enduring Value vs. Rapid Obsolescence - Luxury goods promise lasting value, but rapidly evolving EV technology creates depreciation anxiety. Cadillac's advantage: superior service network and comprehensive warranties.
Exclusivity vs. Mass Adoption - The push for widespread EV adoption threatens the exclusivity luxury buyers desire. Cadillac's solution: focusing on differentiation beyond the powertrain through unique design language and bespoke customization.
Seamless Convenience vs. Infrastructural Anxiety - Luxury consumers expect effortless experiences, but inconsistent charging infrastructure creates practical frustrations. Cadillac's edge: extensive dealer network as a source of "peace of mind."
The Results: A Comprehensive Campaign Strategy
The final presentation included detailed mood boards, print advertisements, digital concepts, and an integrated activation approach spanning premium digital experiences, cultural authority partnerships, and exclusive events. The campaign positioned Cadillac as occupying unique white space in the luxury EV market - warmer and more heritage-driven than German luxury, more established and service-oriented than Tesla, and offering true luxury materials and experiences compared to mass market EVs.
Reflecting on the AI Creative Journey
This final project perfectly encapsulated everything I learned throughout the bootcamp. The ability to seamlessly move between different AI platforms - leveraging Claude's analytical strengths, Perplexity's research capabilities, ChatGPT's creative ideation, MidJourney's visual generation, and Gamma's presentation design - created a workflow that would have been impossible just months ago.
The most powerful realization? AI doesn't replace creative thinking; it amplifies it. The cultural insights, strategic positioning, and creative concepts all required human intuition and creative judgment. The AI tools simply allowed me to execute at a scale and speed that transformed what could have been weeks of work into a comprehensive campaign developed in about 5 hours!
